Dr Ben Teoh MBBS MPsych FRANZCP, FAChAM
Medical Superintendent & Director of Clinical Services
Dr Ben Teoh is a Psychiatrist and Physician in Addiction Medicine and is acknowledged both in Australia and internationally as a leading expert in his field. He is sought after as an international speaker, particularly in the area of Mood Disorders and Dual Diagnosis of people with Addiction and Psychiatric Disorders.
Dr Teoh has a Masters Degree in Psychotherapy with a thesis on the psychotherapy of depression. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Psychiatrist and Royal Australasian College of Physician (Addiction Chapter).
Dr Teoh is actively involved in Mental Health and the Law, and is a Memberof the NSW Mental Health Review Tribunal.

Dr Brian Gutkin M.B, BCh., M.A.C.P., M.A.N.Z.A.P., F.R.A.N.Z.C.P
Consultant Psychiatrist & Specialist Psychotherapist
Dr Brian Gutkin has been with South Pacific for over 15 years now and therefore very well versed in the South Pacific treatment model.
He is a consultant psychiatrist and specialist psychotherapist and is also the Director of Psychiatry at the hospital.
Dr Gutkin as well as a psychiatrist also has additional advanced training and expertise in psychotherapy particularly in the area of complex trauma, developmental immaturity and therapy for depression, mood disorders and the underlying causes of substance abuse, gambling and other addictions
Brian is currently President of the Australian Association of Buddhist Counsellors and Psychotherapists and also has an interest in the therapeutic value of meditation, mindfulness and meditative psychotherapy.
He is also in private practice as a psychiatrist and psychotherapist at St Leonards (ph: 94370656)

Dr Sian Ong
MB BS (UNSW), FRANZCP; Cert of Advanced Training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (RANZCP).
Dr Ong graduated from medicine in 1984. He is a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists. He completed further training in child and adolescent psychiatry. He is also a member of the college sub-section of psychiatry and addiction medicine.
Dr Ong's interests include treatment of depression, anxiety, mood disorders, alcohol and substance dependence. He has particular interests in mindfulness-based therapies and a compassionate approach in promoting and facilitating human growth and potential.

Maria Dolenc CMGANZ, NAADAC
Clinical Supervisor
Maria is an accredited addictions counsellor, a Clinical member of GANZ and is a trained facilitator of Family Therapy, Family Constellations work and other modalities including the work of Byron Katie.
Maria began her professional career working with youth at risk and families in crisis in the Sydney inner-city area. In 1998, she became a Primary Therapist at South Pacific Private. She later went on to become Family Therapist at the centre, working with the families of clients in treatment.
Maria has also been a visiting lecturer at Nature Care and the College in Holistic Counselling.
Maria is currently the Clinical Supervisor at South Pacific Private. She also maintains her private practice and conducts workshops and extended retreats. Specialising in addictions, relationship issues and family therapy, Maria works with passion and integrity in supporting clients to heal, grow and recognise their true potential.

Lisa Chapman, BA(Hons) Grad Dip Couns CMCAPA
Clinical Manager
Lisa took on the position of Clinical Manager at South Pacific in July of last year. She has been affiliated with the treatment centre on a part-time basis as a therapist since 2000, and over the years has gained first hand knowledge and experience of each clinical role from Assessments to Aftercare and most recently, Family Therapist.
Lisa also maintained a private practice and conducted professional training programs for South Pacific before moving into her current role.
Lisa completed her undergraduate education in Canada before furthering her post-graduate studies here in Australia where she has lived since 1987.

Francis Filla, RN
Nursing Unit ManagerFrancis has been associated with South Pacivic Private since 1997, working as a full-time Registered Nurse the first 8 and a half years.
Years of experience and her love for nursing brought Francis back to SPP after an absence of 14 Months, to take on "the best job ever" as Nursing Unit Manager (N.U.M.).

RHODA SILBER Dip. Couns & Comm
Intake ManagerRhoda has been associated with South Pacific Private since 2003 when she joined as an Intern, having completed her Diploma of Counselling with ACAP.
Her interest in people, combined with a passion to make a positive difference to their lives, inspired and motivated Rhoda to enter the counselling arena. Since qualifying, she has worked in a part-time capacity at SPP in a number of roles across the organization.
Aside from her counselling qualifications, Rhoda has extensive customer service and people management experience, holding senior positions in banking with Citigroup and the National Australia Bank.
Rhoda re-joined SPP full-time in October 2007 and now applies her skills at customer service, counselling and sound business acumen to ensure that all enquirers receive the best information, support and guidance for their own unique circumstances.
