Whether your substance is drugs or alcohol, the
aim of a rehabilitation program like that offered at South Pacific
Private is to:
-
Help you deal with the emotional or 'psychological' dependence on
your drug along with other issues that may surround your drug use, such
as relationship issues, self-esteem, or pain management.
South Pacific Private's inpatient treatment program for drug rehabilitation can help people identify and deal with:
-
Issues that may have led a person to take a substance / abuse alcohol in the first place, (for instance, unresolved issues from the past or a traumatic event )
-
Issues that may be created by or linked to the substance abuse, (such as failed relationships, low self -esteem, poor physical health)
Rehab at South Pacific Private is undertaken in a non-judgemental, supportive environment that's free from temptation.
Rehabilitation programs give people the opportunity to learn and
practise tools (to develop new skills and coping strategies) which
assist them to remain substance free to and introduces on-going support
networks (such as 12 Step meetings, half-way housing etc). By
addressing underlying issues or dynamics in your life that may be
driving substance abuse, rather than just addressing physical detox,
South Pacific Private’s intention is to support you to remain 'drug
free'.
There may be many factors that contribute to why people become
psychologically dependent on alcohol or other drugs such as genetic,
biological and sociological influences. Some people also battle with
other mental health disorders like depression or anxiety and may choose
to get help for both their drug dependence and disorder at the same
time. Once again a structured, supportive environment that holistically
addresses all aspects of recovery in a residential treatment program
provides the best option for long-term health and recovery.
Drug Rehab
programs at South Pacific Private generally run from 3-5 weeks
inpatient. These are sometimes followed by out-patient programs to help
clients adjust to a new lifestyle. Length of stay and out-patient
support recommendations are based on free, individual assessments by one of our
Intake Psychologists. Click here to make an enquiry or book an assessment to see how we may help you.
