Intake Case Manager

About the role:

The Intake Case Manager responds to enquiry calls, carries out psychological assessments for admission and supports clients through the pre-admission process.   The role requires Mental Health assessment skills, listening and communication skills as well as sound professional and personal values.  We are looking to expand our team.

This position is part time, 22 hours days a week and will include 1 day on the weekend.

Essential Criteria:

Recognised mental health or clinical qualification (e.g. psychology, counselling) or currently undertaking study in the field or past work experience
Excellent administration and time management skills
Excellent communication skills
Interest in mental health, trauma-informed treatment, addiction and family systems
NSW National Police Check

About the role

Reporting directly to the Nurse Unit Manager, this role will work within our busy hospital department. This exciting opportunity exists for highly motivated Assistant in Nursing, with exceptional time management and clinical skills.

With the ability to work both in a team and in a multi-disciplinary environment, you will display a positive commitment and professional accountability in relation to the needs of the organisation and its clients, have experience in the treatment of addictions and mood disorders and be passionate about supporting and restoring health and well being.

Essential criteria:

  • Certificate III or IV in Health Services Assistance
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Knowledge of and the ability to apply the principles of adult learning
  • Highly developed verbal and written skills with the ability to communicate within a multi-disciplinary team
  • Computer literacy

As a compassionate and professional nurse, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the delivery of care in a mental health setting. You will work within a supportive and experience team with a healthy work culture.

With the ability to work both in a team and in a multi-disciplinary environment, you will display a positive commitment and professional accountability in relation to the needs of the organisation and its clients, be passionate about supporting and restoring health and wellbeing.
