Clinical And Nursing Placements
South Pacific Private prides itself on its clinical student mentoring programs for nursing and therapy. We have partnerships with leading universities including the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) and Australian College of Applied Psychology (ACAP) to support the development and training of clinical staff.
The South Pacific Private student placement program provides a unique opportunity to experience the South Pacific Private model of treatment and to gain an understanding of the integrated treatment of addiction, mental illness, trauma and co-morbidity.
Scope Of Student Placements
The placement program for both nursing and therapy provides a solid foundation for observing clinical work in the field including assessment, treatment planning, treatment implementation and continuing care planning. Students will have the opportunity to gain insight into the work undertaken by various departments within South Pacific Private, including: Nursing, Therapy, Intake, Day Program and Continuing Care Teams.
Student placements vary between disciplines and are offered in line with the requirements set out by the individual universities.
