Marketing & Events Coordinator
The Marketing and Events Coordinator is an entry-level support role in the marketing team to assist in the administration and execution of any, or all, of the activities undertaken by the Marketing Director. It offers the rare combination of exposure to all areas of marketing and on-the-job training and supervision within a small, dedicated team, where everybody’s contribution is sought and valued.
The role includes coordinating events and training by South Pacific Private, both virtually and face-to-face for our alumni community, healthcare professionals and our staff as well as activation of large-scale, high profile events and conferences undertaken at external venues.
The role is suitable for a recent graduate with excellent communication skills who is detail-focused, creatively minded, highly organised and able to absorb information, take instruction and carry out a wide variety of duties under the supervision of other team members.

Intake Team Manager
Do you have a specialist interest in drug and alcohol disorders or mental health?
The Intake Team Manager is a full time position and is a member of the Senior Leadership team and is responsible for the management and coordination of the Intake Department including the case management team, the management of the hospital’s occupancy, networking and relationship building with health care professionals and overseeing the enquiry to admission process.
You will also have some hands on responsibilities to back-up the team in responding to enquiry calls, carrying out psychological assessments for admission and supporting clients through the pre-admission process.
You will also be working with a multi-disciplinary team comprising of a psychiatrist, psychologist, general practitioner, registered nurse, psycho-therapists and counsellors.
You will be passionate about making a difference and provide support to those of all age ranges and needs.

Mental Health Program Director
This is an exciting and diverse role that offers the opportunity to work both at the strategic and operational levels. You will work with the Board and senior executive team on the strategic direction of the organisation as well as being responsible for directing and overseeing the management of the therapeutic services of South Pacific Private.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining the integrity and quality of the South Pacific Private model of treatment
- Providing the clinical direction for the therapy team and oversee policy development in line with best practice principles
- Representing the therapy team at Executive level
- Leading and co-ordinating Program Development and Review
- Keeping informed of developments and policy changes in the Mental Health Sector
- Having a commitment to the philosophy of continuous improvement, promoting and participating effectively in Workplace Health and Safety, Quality Improvement and Risk Management practices
- To encourage and lead the culture of SPP in order to maximise development and growth opportunities
- Support with engaging external community and professional groups as required
Essential Criteria:
- Minimum of 4 years experience at a management level
- Recognised registration with an appropriate professional body
- Leadership, organisational and management skills
- Sound commercial understanding and experience
- Sound knowledge and understanding of the Private Health and Mental Health Sectors in NSW and Australia
- A high level of professional competence and personal integrity
- Demonstrated ability in staff management, strategic planning and project management.

Day Program Therapist
Day Programs are an integral part of South Pacific Private’s treatment model, offering clients ongoing support in their recovery journeys. South Pacific Private offer a range of Day Programs that vary in content, format and length and are scheduled over different times and days.
We currently have full time Day Program Therapist role available for registered Psychologists, Counsellors and Psychotherapists facilitating online and/or face-to-face day program groups. These positions report to the General Manager Operations and Quality Improvement and the Program Manager.
Essential Criteria:
- Membership with PACFA or ACA and/or APHRA
- Ability to work in a team environment and autonomously
- NSW National Police Check and Working with Children Check
- COVID Digital Certificate
Desirable Criteria:
- Understanding of 12 Step Fellowships and their culture and benefits
- Ability to work weekends and/or evenings
- 2 years’ experience working in Mental Health or Addiction Field
- Group facilitation experience

Beachwood Support Worker
South Pacific Private currently has a vacancy for Casual Beachwood Support Worker. Essential duties and responsibilities include:
- Offer support to clients using effective listening and communication skills
- Liaise/handover with Manager and other support workers for changeover of shift
- Facilitate daily meetings and debriefs with clients
- Support clients with time management skills (attending therapy programs, off-site meetings etc)
Applicant requirements:
- Minimum Certificate III or IV in Community Welfare/Mental Health/Counselling
- Experience working with clients in the welfare sector/mental health/addictions
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral)
- Self-motivated and ability to work independently
- Excellent time management skills
- Intermediate IT skills
