Do I have a Problem with Gaming, Social Media and Device Addiction?
The rise of technology has resulted in new and detrimental addictive behaviours, including internet addiction, screen addiction, device addiction, phone addiction, social media addiction, video gaming addiction or gaming disorder.
Behavioural addictions such as these can inflict significant negative impacts on individuals’ lives, relationships and finances. While moderate engagement doesn’t rise to being a clinical issue, when our behaviour becomes obsessive, compulsive or escalatory, issues can arise. This self-assessment is designed to help raise your awareness to potential negative consequences.
As you read each of the following statements, take your time to think about each answer, then tick the box if you believe it applies to you. Only you will see the results of this test, so take the opportunity to be completely honest with yourself.
